What is Healthy Start? It is a program designed to help serve children, their family members, and the community.
What are the goals?
That each child receives the physical, emotional, and intellectual support that he or she needs in school, at home, and in the community to be able to learn.
Building the capacity of parents and students to be participants, leaders, and decision makers in their communities.
Services offered:
Counseling referrals, ESL classes, flu clinic, parent support and network groups, SMILES dental program, nutrition classes - LEAP, legal referrals, housing / food referrals, Medi-Cal / Healthy Families referrals, clothing vouchers, after school program.
